During the ceremony of Nobel Peace Day at the headquarters of the Tibetan Exile community, the chief guest who was a BJP member of parliament called on to confer India’s highest honour Bharat Ratna on the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama today which was held at the Main Temple, Mcleod Ganj, Dharamshala.

Tibetans can surrender Indian passports without penalty said an official according to a recent report in the Hindustan Times. Since the high court ruling allowing the Tibetans born in India between January 26, 1950 and July 1, 1987 be treated as Indian citizens by birth and permitted for seeking Indian passports.
