Dalai Lama Encourages Young Tibetans to Work in Their Community

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has encouraged young Tibetans to contribute in their community. While affirming that the Tibetan spirit a thrived over the years, the spiritual leader advised a group of young Tibetans to work in their community. A small video clip of the advise from His Holiness is going viral on social medias.

23 young Tibetan professionals serving voluntary jobs at various offices of Central Tibetan Administration through Tibet Corps program sought a special audience from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. During the audience, the spiritual leader said that it is very important for young Tibetans to keep working in Tibetan communities.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama explained that despite Chinese repression and brutal crackdown over Tibet, Tibetans endured and did not lose their spirit. In fact, Tibetans despite losing their country kept struggling to sustain and preserve their unique culture and tradition. The spirit of the Tibetan people is very much alive till today.

The 84 year old spiritual leader even expressed his hope that there will be a change in China soon. His Holiness told that the Chinese leadership are already looking for alternative solutions to the Tibet issue since their policies have failed to bring any positive result. Therefore Tibetans should continue to preserve much treasured unique culture and tradition of Tibet for the benefit of the whole world.

Tibet Corps program under Department of Finance, CTA offers Tibetan professionals, university students, and retirees an opportunity and platform to serve the Tibetan community through voluntary service. The program seeks to inspire Tibetans to strengthen the community, its institutions and the Central Tibetan Administration.
