Dalai Lama to Visit Latvia to Grace Russia, Baltic States

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled to visit Riga, Latvia in later this year in June to grace the people of the Baltic states and Russia through his teachings. A cycle of teachings from the renowned spiritual leader is confirmed in Riga in June 16th-18th 2018 according to the organizers of the event.

“We are delighted to inform you that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has generously accepted our invitation to continue his teachings for the Baltic States and Russia. The next cycle of teachings will take place in Riga, Latvia, in June 16th-18th 2018.” said the official letter of the Save Tibet Latvia in their website.

The letter added that His Holiness chose to discuss a wisdom side of the spiritual path during the visit as on June 16 and 17 mornings, His Holiness will teach on Tsongkhapa’s In Praise of Dependent Origination (tendrel toepa) and Diamond Cutter Sutra (dorjee chodpa) and on June 18 morning, he will confer a Manjushree Empowerment (jamphelyang jenang).

“His Holiness the Dalai Lama teachings for the Baltic States and Russia have been held in Riga since 2014 and are open to everyone, both Buddhists and those who are simply interested in the Buddhist philosophy that harmoniously combines profound wisdom and limitless compassion.” added the report and the teachings are organized by Save Tibet Latvia, Save Tibet Foundation (Moscow) and Tibet Culture and Information Center (Moscow) and the venue will be Skonto Hall.
