Nepal Police Arrests 41 Tibetans From Tibet

In an extremely and distressing news report, Nepal police arrests 41 Tibetans from Tibet who were travelling to India via a public bus. The Danghadi district police has arrested the Tibetans on Monday and they have been sent back to Department of Immigration in Kathmandu for further action.

“The district police office has sent all the arrested Tibetans to the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu for further investigation and necessary legal actions.” informed SP Rajendra Bista according to a report in My Republica.

The police told that the Tibetans were travelling to India for a pilgrimage illegally and therefore they have arrested the Tibetans.

According to the report in Tibet Times, most of the Tibetans are from the Dotoe and Domey regions of Tibet. The regional Dotoe and Domey Welfare Association are visiting the Immigration Department in Kathmandu where the Tibetans are being brought to understand the problem. The arrested Tibetans are expected to reach there today and then the authorities will take decisions. It is still not clear whether the police would return the Tibetans back to Chinese authorities.

Even if they ask for legally. China won’t permit them so from my point of view they haven’t effect anything to nepal. So, please let them go. If you some humanity thinking then you will let them go.

Shame on Nepal government for kowtowing to the Chinese government. You need to stand up and tell them no we won’t let you bully us. forcing them to go back to Tibet would be a death sentence for all of them let them travel to India and stay if they want no harm done.

@tenzin dharpo Yes you are right, but from Nepal’s point of view we cannot let them go to their destinations like this.
If we help them then India will oppose the act by saying that Nepal promoting anti Indian activities in Nepal and China will also do the same. The only way is that Tibetans have to defeat China in Tibet and need to setup an Independent Govt in China.
