A delegation led by the Sikyong of Central Tibetan Administration, Dr. Lobsang Sangay and New Delhi Representative Dongchung Ngodup met Dr. Saurabh Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance India in Delhi yesterday to seek assurance of special help during the Kalachakra Post-demonitization. Sikyong had just arrived back from Bodh Gaya where he went for an inspection of the preparations going on for the upcoming 34th Kalachakra initiations in the beginning of January 2017.

Mongolia Stands Up Against China With Dalai Lama Again

The Mongolians and the Dalai Lama share special relation since the 1578 when the Mongolian ruler Altan Khan conferred the title of the Dalai Lama to Sonam Gyatso; the third reincarnation of Dalai Lama to Tibet. The Gaden Monastery in Ulan Bataar keeps a throne reserved for the Dalai Lama. Recently the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso made his ninth visit to Mongolia since 1979 despite strong opposition from China.
