Jet Airways gifts lifetime pass to baby born on flight in the latest news early morning today. The airline in its press release for the flight 9W 569 that diverted to Mumbai stated that the first baby born in-flight for the airline happened today and they are happy to gift the new born with a life time free pass on the airline.
“Being the first baby to be born in-flight for the airline, Jet Airways is pleased to offer the newly-born a free lifetime pass for all his travel on Jet Airways,” the airline said in the statement.
The Jet Airways flight 9W 569 travelling from Dammam to Kochi today took off at 2:55 am early in the morning. While the plane was 35,000 feet above the Arabian sea with 162 passengers, an expectant mother went into premature labour. While announcement request for any doctors in the flight could not draw anyone, a nurse volunteered to help deliver the child.
The airline decided to offer a life time free pass on their flight to the new born as it was the first ever incident they faced. While the premature delivery occurred, the flight was diverted to Mumbai on a medical emergency. The mother and child were rushed to a hospital after landing in Mumbai and they were reported to be doing great!
