Indian national air carrier Air India is soon set to start direct flight connectivity between Chandigarh and Dharamsala, a report said. It has also been reported that SpiceJet will be one other entity that will render the service shortly after Air India does. Dharamshala Airport Director Sonam Norbu said that “public carrier Air India is likely to start the Delhi-Chandigarh-Dharamshala flight in March and the process to facilitate this is on.”

First Tibetan Dharamshala Municipal Corporation member took oath as councillor today. Dawa Rinchen, the Tibetan Settlement Officer, Dharamshala took oath as the first Tibetan representative in the local Indian government body. The ceremony was presided over by the Director of Urban Development Sh.B.K.Gupta Shimla.
