Magical Governance From Sushma Swaraj: This Time 800 Jobless Indians In Saudi

BJP veteran Sushma Swaraj who took the office of External Affairs in the Narendra Modi government, she has been hitting headlines for her work which are all of something that everyone would want to see in their ideal government. From the evacuation of Indian citizens from war zones to helping people with their passports to taking on the Indo-Pak talks with a smile, she went on to prove the right decision people had made in her.

This time Sushma Swaraj responds to a call for help through a twitter post by a person stating that there are around 800 jobless Indian in Jeddah who were starving since last three days. In her series of tweets in response, she had assured that nobody from all the unemployed Indian in Saudi Arabia will have to go to bed empty stomach.

“I assure you that no Indian worker rendered unemployed in Saudi Arabia will go without food. I am monitoring this on hourly basis,” she said in a tweet.

 Hundreds of Indians has been stranded without jobs and money when the factories where they worked did not pay for the last six months and finally shut up. This led the workers to finally beg for survival.
Sushma Swaraj also informed through her tweets that BJP leader V K Singh will soon visit the country to resolve the issue which she called extreme hardship. For the time being, she has manage to handle the issue through providing these people with free ration via Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
This is not the first rescue she has come forward to her people. She has come to such rescues on many occasions since taking the office and the following are a few of the most significant ones:
  1. During the Yemen crisis, under her supervision, 4,741 Indian nationals and 1,947 people from 48 countries were rescued under operation ‘Raahat’.
  2. Sushma Swaraj had saved a girl stuck in Germany without her passport and money.
  3. She also came to the rescue of a hearing and speech impaired Indian girl stranded in Pakistan to return to India.
  4. The minister made all the possible arrangements to ensure that Indians working abroad got their passport back from their employers.
