The office of Tibet based in Washington D.C., United States organised a dinner reception for the Chinese scholars in the region on Friday according the update in its social media account. The reception was aimed at receiving the Chinese scholars and Tibet supporters in honour of the approaching Tibetan new year, Losar.
The Chinese Liaison Officer, Kunga Tashi introduced to the gathering, the new Representative of Office of Tibet, Washington D.C., Mr. Ngodup Tsering who took the office from December last year. The Representative introduced about Central Tibetan Administration’s year long campaign of thanking Tibet supporter countries and individuals in 2018, while he also spoke about the Middle Way Policy introduced by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to resolve the issue of Tibet with China.
According to the post, some of the Chinese scholars who spoke at the event shared their appreciation to the Middle Way Policy proposed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to resolve the Tibet issue and they even told that they too consider it important to bring His Holiness back to Tibet as soon as possible. Interestingly, they suggested that one of the biggest challenge for the incumbent Chinese president Xi is to invite His Holiness the Dalai Lama back to Tibet.
