Tibetans Marked a Grand Celebration of Dalai Lama’s Birthday in Nepal

Tibetans in Nepal have been able to mark the auspicious occasion of their spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday this year according to the special report in Voice of Tibet. The grand celebration of His Holiness’ 83rd birthday was also organised at the presence of various foreign dignitaries in the country, including the US Ambassador to Nepal.

A Tibetan activist has been initially detained by the Nepal police after he posted a picture holding the Tibetan national flag on the the social media recently. Earlier this month, soon after posting a picture holding the Tibetan flag in Nepal on Facebook he was detained and later expelled from the country.
