A Tibetan man who called out a solo protest against Chinese invasion of Tibet near Jhokhang Temple in Lhasa slit his own throat in the morning on Friday but the police immediately cleared out the scene and left no any traces of the incident.

World First Tibetan Language Search Engine Launched For Trial In Tibet

Cloud Tibet, the first Tibetan Language in the world has been launched for trial according to a report on China.org.cn which says that the service has been launch for trial operation on Tuesday. Also, the search engine will provide users with encyclopedia information, archive data and a Q&A service in Tibetan, Tselo said. The project was launched in April 2013.

Tibetan Artists Silenced at Dhaka Art Summit

On the 7th of February, Tibetan artist Nortse and Indian artists Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam had their photographs and art installations removed at the behest of the Chinese ambassador to Dhaka from the Dhaka Art Summit taking place in Shilpakala Academy in the capital of Bangladesh.
Until the end of the 6th of February, both artists were still depicted on the walls of the Art Summit. On the 7th, what greeted the visitors and patrons were blank stretches of white wall with white frames. It was as if the works had never existed.
