Tibetan Monk Brutally Attacked and Looted at Home in South India

A Tibetan monk who lives in a secluded house in a camp of Tibetan Refugees in Mundgod was on Saturday night brutally attacked by a gang of robbers and looted of huge amount of cash and important belongings. The monk living at his house has sustained injuries from attacks by thieves armed with swords and his screams went unheard of by the secluded neighbourhood.

A Tibetan woman travelling in a private passenger bus was killed in a tragic incident where the bus overturned in a mishap on Tuesday morning and it occurred near Hubbali in Karnataka, India. Tibetan Settlement Receives Record Tenancy Certificate From Govt.

The Mundgod Tibetan settlement receives the Record Tenancy Certificate (RTC) from the government of Karnataka today on the occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s visit to the settlement. This government certificate comes after the implementation of the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 in the Tibetan settlements of the state.
