China Protests PM Modi’s Arunachal Pradesh Visit

China firmly protested the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to the Arunachal Pradesh accusing him of complicating the border issues between the two Asian giants. PM Narendra Modi promised of fast paced development in the largest state in the Northeast part of India and China is not appreciating the visit as it does not recognise the state as a part of India.

According to the latest reports, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be visiting the state Arunachal Pradesh to continue sending strong signal to China. The Prime Minister’s date of visit of to the North Eastern state of India though has not been confirmed yet, it is expected to take place in the early part of 2018.

Xi Jingping Tells Tibetan Families Living Near Arunachal Pradesh Settle near Indian Border

Chinese President Xi Jingping, in a recent letter addressed to a herding family in Lhunze County in Tibet, told the families to settle themselves near the Indian border so that there would be “peace in the territory”. China claims that more than 2,000 kms of the disputed area at the Line of Actual Control is part of Southern Tibet near the foot of the Himalayas.
