Modi Government Thanks Dalai Lama for Bringing Tibetan Medicine to India

The Prime Minister’s Office has credited the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama for bringing the traditional Tibetan medicine to India. The government is now planning to promote the Tibetan Medicine or technically known as Sowa-Rigpa under the Ministry of AYUSH, according to the reports.

Veteran Tibetan doctor Yeshi Dhonden received the Padma Shri awards from the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind during awards ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday evening. The Tibetan doctor was among the 85 heroes of India to receive the country’s highest civilian honours, the Padma Awards.
