At the All India Tibet Support Group’s Conference recently held in the Himalayan town of Dharamsala, the meeting resolved to demand the Union Government of India to confer India’s highest civilian award to the longest dignitary guest of India, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Two members of parliament from Nepal attended a prominent Tibet convention in Europe secretly violating its foreign policy with China. A leading Tibet Support Group has expressed their prayers for the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s return to Tibet via Tawang during a ceremony in Tawang marking the beginning of the event celebrating 60th year of His Holiness in exile. The President of Central Tibetan Administration Dr. Lobsang Sangay seeks Tibet support in New Zealand. Speaking to a News Channel in an interview he said that circumstances in Tibet and old age of His Holiness the Dalai Lama has led him to assume the leadership of Tibet for all administrative purposes. The Tibetan political head Dr. Lobsang Sangay who has been in Brussels in to attend The 7th International Tibet Support Groups Conference has called for the unity of Tibetans from all three provinces of Tibet while speaking to the local Tibetan public gathering on last Sunday.
While at the same time, the Sikyong also advised that education is the key to solve the Tibet issue and encouraged the youth strive for excellence in their fields of studies.
