The 16th Tibetan Parliament in Exile begins its 5th session on Wednesday at the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala. The session which is focussed as the budget session began from 9:30 am in the morning and adjourned early by 2:30 pm in order for the parliamentarians to participate in the prayer service for martyr Tsekho.

Sharling Dhardon Loses Kalon Appointment Again

Former Tibetan Member of Parliament Sharling Dhardon who was nominated for the Kalon of Department of Information and International Relations by Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay failed to attain the majority support of the members of the parliament. The Kalon nominee’s appointment when opposed by one of the members of the parliament, the Speaker ruled to carry out voting for and against the nominee.
