8 Tibetans Held in Nepal Custody Arrived in Dharamsala, India

Eight Tibetan refugees who were earlier held by Nepal since around a year have now arrived in Dharamsala, the Tibetan exile headquarter based in India last week. With intensive border patrolling in the Tibetan borders by Chinese border police supplemented by increasing Chinese influence in Nepal, the primary gateway to exile has been heavily locked for Tibetans.

Nepal Delays Sending 8 Tibetan Refugees to Dharamsala

While Nepal government had agreed to send 8 Tibetan refugees in their custody to Dharamsala, the Indian town where the exile Tibetan headquarter is situated on last Friday, it is now learnt that the government has halted the process which turns out likely due to the fact that the information was leaked in the media prior to its execution.
