Tibet Occupation Started with a Road: Lobsang Sangay

Sikyong, the President of Central Tibetan Administration aka Tibetan Government in Exile during his visit to the South Africa told that the Tibet occupation started with a road while speaking to Daily Maverick. The Tibetan political head clearly explained how the Chinese armies entered and finally invaded Tibet, warning against the present situation in many African countries.

Dr. Lobsang Sangay while speaking practically to the African daily explained that the first Chinese armies entering Tibet were so polite when the children pushed or even slapped them, they kept smiling! They made the Tibetan workers to build roads by paying them in silver coins which were produced from factories, near Chengdu that the Chinese government deliberately built for this purpose.

“The question, when the Chinese troops came up the road, was to surrender or to fight. There was not much consensus among the ruling elite. A few of them were already siding with the Chinese government, saying, ‘Communism is good’.” the Tibetan president added.

While explaining that this is China’s modern expansionist drive that came from that very template used in the occupation of Tibet, he told that he has been warning against Africa as well as many other places with Europe and Australia included.

Confronting the fact that the Department of Home Affairs, South Africa denied His Holiness’s visit to the country several times even after his complete retirement from political duties since 2011, he said that he has come to seek South Africa’s support in Tibetan cause.

“I’m here, in some ways, to remind the South African government of the principles and values on which their Constitution and country was founded. Because of friends around the world, because of support from the international community, South Africa has gained its democracy. So it’s natural for me to come and say, hey, we need your support now as well.” Dr. Sangay informed through the interview.

Good analysis Lobsang Sangay. China is an undemocratic, ruthless aggressor. Therefore, India should be wary of Tibetan Train coming to Arunachal Pradesh, the violations in Doklam Region, China changing the flow of Brahmaputra River away from India, which will lead to massive destruction and Water Wars, as water becomes scarce in India, Bangla Desh, etc. Also, the Silk Route Business Expressway will destroy Himalayan eco-system.

Dear Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President of India, Sushma Swaraj, Nirmala Sitharaman, Rahul Gandhi are you aware of this and what pre-emptive action has been taken?
