Dalai Lama Announces 5 Live Webcasts in the Month of June

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama announced five live webcasts teachings and talks for June. Following the outbreak of Coronavirus, everything began shifting to virtual reality and the spiritual leader too have shifted. His Holiness’s programs now looks to actively engage with the public through technology and internet.

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, people are confined to their houses and many followers requested for advice from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. In the month of May, the spiritual leader carried out two sessions of live teachings attended by thousands of people. According to the schedule, five live webcasts programs from His Holiness the Dalai Lama are slated to happen this month.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will confer the Ceremony for Generating Bodhichitta (semkye) from approximately 9 am to 10 am (Indian Standard Time) on the occasion of the full moon day of Saka Dawa on June 5. On June 7, His Holiness will engage in a dialogue with selected youth from Southeast Asia from 8 am to 9.30 am. He will give a general talk followed by a question and answer session.

On June 17, the Tibetan spiritual leader will engage in a dialogue with author Pico Iyer as part of the JLF Brave New World from 9 am to 10 am. On June 20, His Holiness will engage in a dialogue with Richie Davidson (Founder and Director of the Center for Healthy Minds, Professor of Psychology, University of Wisconsin Madison) moderated by Sona Dimidjian, (Director of the Renee Crown Wellness Institute, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, University of Colorado Boulder) from 8 am to 9. This is part of Mind & Life Institute’s signature dialogical conversations.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is also scheduled to will give a talk on Towards a Compassionate and Peaceful World to students of Amity University Gurgaon and its campuses from 10 am to 11 am on June 26. He will also have a question and answer session.

The live webcasts of his teachings in Tibetan, English, Chinese, Hindi, French, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mongolian, Korean, German, Portuguese and Italian on the official websites and Facebook pages of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His popularity is rising more than ever before. During this Coronavirus pandemic, many people from around world approach him for lessons to deal with their negative emotions. In such a recent message, His Holiness advised people to use the time during lock down, having difficult time in isolation to practice meditation. He suggests that it would managing anxiety.
