Dalai Lama is greeted by Ministers, artists and educators on his birthday.

Dharamshala, 6th July: Many Indian leaders and celebrities honored Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his 85th birthday on Monday. The Tibetan Journal has produced a list of Twitter welcomes from well-known Tibetans. His Holiness’ birthday is one of the most important dates on his followers’ calendars, particularly among Tibetans.

The Nobel Peace Prize recipient celebrated his 86th birthday on July 6th. Due to the epidemic, however, it was not commemorated with traditional festivities at large gatherings. We see Indian celebrities and politicians sharing their pleasantries on Twitter, in addition to hundreds of people from around the world giving good wishes to the spiritual leader.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greets Dalai Lama on his birthday in a rare phone call according to Reuters. “We wish him a long and healthy life,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi says as he greets the Dalai Lama on his 86th birthday on Twitter.

Taiwanese Prime Minister Tsai Ing-Wen wishes His Holiness by tweeting “Wishing a very happy 86th birthday to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Thank you for teaching us the importance of coming together to help one another through this pandemic.”

 

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, offers his greetings to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He tweeted that On behalf of all my fellow Indians, wishing His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on his 86th birthday. We consider ourselves fortunate to be inculcating your values in our Delhi government school students through the medium of Happiness Curriculum.

On His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday, Sudarsan Pattnaik, a well-known sand artist from Puri and a Padma Shri recipient, tweeted warm birthday wishes. He also shared a picture of the sand art of His Holiness.

Ashok Singhal, an Assamese BJP politician, also offers his best wishes to His Holiness. He tweeted that His Holiness is Revered & idolized around the globe, the Messenger of Peace Dalai Lama transcends all barriers of religion, language. He is a symbol of humanity. He also shared some old footage of the Dalai Lama in his tweet.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also sent his best wishes to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Warm birthday wishes to His Holiness Dalai Lama, he remarked in his tweet. May you live a long and healthy life while promoting love, compassion, and kindness throughout the world.

Many leaders wished Dalai Lama on his birthday, including Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In his tweet, he wished His Holiness the Dalai Lama a Happy Birthday. On this ‘World Tibet Day,’ greetings to all.
