Dalai Lama to Visit Netherlands and Germany in September

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama is now scheduled to visit Rotterdam in Netherlands and Darmstadt in Germany in the month of September prior to landing in Switzerland for a three days visit. This visit will be the second foreign trip for the Tibetan spiritual in 2018 after his recently concluded visit to the Baltic States.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is set to visit three European nations i.e., the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland in September where he will be giving religious teachings, public talks as well as to take part in conferences and other public events.

His Holiness will give a public talk on Why Compassion is Essential in our Troubled World in the morning organized by Stichting Bezoek Zijne Heiligheid Dalai Lama at Ahoy Rotterdam on September 16. In the morning of the following day, His Holiness will be a teaching on Geshe Langri Thangpa’s Eight Verses of Mind Training (lojong tsik gyema).

On September 19, His Holiness will participate in a conference on Non-Violence and Peace in the morning organized by Tibet Initiative Deutschland and Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama at Congress Center Darmstadtium in Germany. As previously published, His Holiness will be visiting Switzerland from September 21 to 23 to grace four programs scheduled in three cities.

Despite efforts to ensure proper rest for the 82 year old Tibetan spiritual leader who has been complaining about increased exhaustion in attending long distance journeys as well as hectic schedules, His Holiness’s schedule for the month of September is filled tight. His Holiness who returned to his temporal abode from Europe tour recently is also scheduled to visit Ladakh region from the beginning of July.
