Tibetan Youth Bags 2 Titles at Mister Model Worldwide Pageant

A Tibetan youth representing Tibet at the Mister Model Worldwide pageant held this month in the capital city of India, New Delhi has won two titles and the Tibetan community is cheering up to the achievement. Tsering Chomphel participated in the pageant as Mr. Tibet.

Mister Model Worldwide was organized by Rubura Group, a pageant organization and non-government organization headquartered in Haryana, India. It is the first and only international modelling contest for men in South Asia. The Mister Model Worldwide 2018 commenced on December 16, 2018. The grand finale took place at the City Park Resort in New Delhi, Delhi, India on December 22, 2018.

From 15 contestants in the maiden modelling pageant, Tsering Chomphel, a freelance physical fitness trainer based in Bangalore, Mr. Tibet won the title of Mr. Asia and Oceania and Best in Talent last Saturday.

Tsering clad in an elegant Tibetan traditional costume during the cultural demonstration while he performed the famous Tibetan Auspicious dance, Tashi Sholpa dance during the talent round.

Mr. Philippines, Carlo Pasion was declared as the winner of the maiden title while Mr. Thailand was declared the first runner up and Mr. India as the second runner up.

There were four continental winners, as well. Leigue was Mister Americas while Mister Azerbaijan Emil Gasimov, Mister Ethiopia Natnael Georgo and Mister Tibet Tsering Chomphel were Mister Europe, Mister Africa and Mister Asia and Oceania, respectively.
