Well Known Tibetan Singer Dies In Car Accident, Karmapa's Message To Fellow Tibetans

A well known Tibetan singer has died in a car accident recently in Tibet and many Tibetans are mourning her loss in the social media by sharing their emotions in solidarity. More importantly, the Tibetan religious leader, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa has expressed his sadness and shared a message to the fellow Tibetans in this regard.

Tsering Choenyi is a 31 year old Tibetan female singer who is reported to have died in a car accident in Tibet recently. While many Tibetans are mourning her death in prayers, sharing her pictures on the social media and spreading her songs, His Holiness the Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje has an important message in the rise of this incident to all the Tibetans.

He expressed his sadness and regret for the loss of such a young Tibetan talent.

“”Many Tibetans in and outside of Tibet are feeling upset about the news that the native Tibetan singer Tsering Choenyi, has passed away due to a car accident. It is very sad that someone in the prime of their youth has passed away–someone who, like a song bird, was able to move people so much with the melody of her voice. It is my wish that the deceased attain a state of light in a pleasant rebirth, and that those left behind are relieved of their dark state of mourning. ” His Holiness said in a video message on his social media page.

He also expressed a more important message about being careful in the age of automobiles reminding that death, impermanence, and the uncertainty of how we will die.

“In particular these days when it is getting much more common for Tibetans in different areas to purchase and operate motor-vehicles, it is of the utmost importance for such individuals to undergo the proper training and gain the experience required. Yet, in contradistinction to that, our dear Tibetans who have had their lives taken away due to reckless and drunk driving have not been few. Therefore, I hope that everyone takes more care to safeguard their precious human body and travel safely.” added the Tibetan religious leader.
