A shocking incident happened at the miss universe pageant 2015 held in Las Vegas. Steve Harvey, co-host of the Miss Universe pageant made a blunder at the announcement of the winner of the Miss Universe 2015. The finalists, Miss Columbia and Miss Philippines while holding each others hands and waiting at the tip of their nerves, Steve announced “The winner of Miss Universe 2015 is… Columbia!” and the celebrations started and she was crowned under the winning music in the background.
While the celebrations lasted for about one and a half minutes, the host to the pageant came back on stage besides Miss Columbia, in total guilt, he speaks “I have to apologize, the first runner-up is Columbia. The winners of Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines. Miss Philippines please take your first walk as Miss Universe.”
This actually happened on the live show last night and the embarrassment it has caused for all whole family of Miss Universe Pageant not to mention Miss Columbia, who got crowned as Miss Universe 2015 for a matter of seconds only to uncrown her in the public.
The host of the show, Steve Harvey went on to say “Listen folks, this is what is exactly on the card. I will take full responsibility for this. It(Philippines) was on the card and it was my mistake but the right thing I can show it to you right here.”
Anyone could see the shame and guilt he had on his face while he made the statements. He continued “First runner-up is Columbia(showing the card). It is my mistake(shaking his head). Still it is a great night, please don’t hold it up against the ladies. We feel it so badly but it is still a great night. Thank you all.”
We do hope it actually went out to a great night and we wish him luck for the next year.
