Banaras Hindu University Puts Special Status for Tibetan Students
One of the premier Universities in India, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in a welcome move has given a special consideration to the Tibetan students. The University has relaxed Tibetan students from paying tuition fees as foreigners and they will now pay same as Indians, relieving the financial burden of Tibetan refugees.

A Senator in Canada has presented a notice of motion on Tibet in the Upper House of Canadian parliament. The Canadian senator will be presenting a motion on Tibet which will be calling for the reciprocal access to Tibet for their citizens among other issues on Tibet.

Tibetan Parliament Approve Sikyong’s Minister Nomination, Topgyal Tsering
During the morning session of the on going Tibetan parliament sessions in Dharamshala, the members of the parliament approved Sikyong Lobsang Sangay’s minister nomination, Kashag secretary Topgyal Tsering. The new cabinet member is presumably expected to take the charge of Department of Information and International Relations.
