HongKong Lawmakers Turn Oath To Protest China

Today the oath taking ceremony at the Legislative Council in HongKong turned into a protest against China. Lawmakers who were supposed to take their oaths start their official duty as the lawmaker of HongKong made an oath protest. Many new lawmakers who had key roles in the pro-democracy protests in 2014 refused to read the oath that had the phrase “Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China” multiple times.

China Kidnapped Missing Hong Kong Bookseller

Lee is the fifth Hong Kong bookseller who went missing and the investigation he told he was assisting is related to four other booksellers who went missing so far. Lee is an employee of a publishing house, Mighty Current which publishes and sells books critical of the Communist Party of China.
A Hong Kong student activist said that bookstore where Lee works is popular destination for mainland tourists where they can get books banned in China.
