A Tibetan from Hunsur attempted to self-immolate.

Dharamshala, 21st June: A guy named Lobsang Tenzin,60, of ‘I’ Village attempted to self-immolate on Sunday morning in Hunsur, South India but was unsuccessful because his daughter smothered the flames. He attempted self-immolation because he was dissatisfied with the behavior of members of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile. According to Voice of America, Lobsang Tenzin’s principal motivation for the self-immolation was the recent disturbance caused by the TPiE, which would have displeased His Holiness the Dalai Lama and disrupted his peace; Lobsang Tenzin couldn’t endure it and tried to end his life by self-immolation.

Lobsang Tenzin told the settlement’s director of health care and medical center, Yougyal, and two other individuals about his plan to self-immolate the day before, but they didn’t believe him at the time. His right arm is badly damaged, and the area around his right eye is swelled, and his right ear is black.

According to reports on social media, his motivation for self-immolation was dissatisfaction with the Justice Commission, although his daughter claims otherwise. Tenzin Dekyi, his daughter, said her father’s motivation for self-immolating was the recent difficulties caused by TPiE members. She further stated that her father had been stating for two days that TPiE’s actions and behavior might have offended His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

A man named Tenzin lungtok phoned what seems to be Lobsang Tenzin and asked some questions regarding the motives of his self-immolation. In that conversation/ interview Lobsang la says he is both disheartened by the recent TPiE behavior and the reinstatement of the three impeached judges. He also clears some disinformation created by some people that spread the rumor that he was drunk at that time and accidentally light himself up.
