Dalai Lama Arrived To Mayo Clinic For Health Check Up

The Tibetan Spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrivd in Mayo Clinic for health check up on Tuesday. This check up is a part of his routine annual health check up at the clinic. His Holiness landed in Rochester city as a part of his 17 day visit to the United States of America after he left from his exile home in Dharamsala on 11 June. This visit is marked by the much protested, commencement speech at the UCSD by the Chinese students.

“After two days flying from India, with an overnight stop in the United Kingdom, His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Rochester, MN, today, for his routine annual medical check-up. It was a bright, warm morning as His Holiness walked down the steps of the plane to be greeted by his Representative in North America, Penpa Tsering, members of the reception staff of Mayo Clinic and his personal physicians.” reported the official website of the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will deliver a public talk on ‘Embracing the Beauty of Diversity in our World’ in University of California San Diego on 16 June in San Diego where an estimate of 25,000 audience is expected to attend.

While on the next day, His Holiness will be making the key note speech for the All Campus Commencement of UCSD graduates. These two events are organized by the university. While the Chinese foreign students of the campus and those outside demonstrated an outcry against the University decision, exhorting the communist regime’s propaganda, the University stood fast to its decision to invite the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s other engagements in the US during this visit include a public talk on ‘Caring for the World through Kindness and Compassion’ at Minneapolis, MN and a public talk for the Tibetan Community in Minnesota.
