Dalai Lama expresses his condolences on the death of Virbhadra Singh.

Dharamshala, 8th July: The Dalai Lama expressed his condolences on the death of Virbhadra Singh saying he was personally grateful for the warm friendship he showed to him. Virbhadra Singh,87, a six-time chief minister of the state, breathed his last at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla at 3.40 am on Thursday after a prolonged illness.

“Dedicating himself to the service of others, Virbhadra Singh led a long and meaningful life. I admired the way he listened to people’s needs with deep affection and compassion. I am personally grateful for the warm friendship he showed me over the many years we knew each other,” the Dalai Lama wrote to Singh’s wife, Pratibha Singh according to the republicworld.

“Historically, the people of the ancient princely state of Bushahr, to which ‘Raja Sahib’ belonged, have had close links with their western Tibetan neighbors. Shri Virbhadra Singh, our longest-serving Chief Minister, will be dearly missed here in Himachal Pradesh.” “With my prayers,” His Holiness finished his letter.

Dalai Lama is expected to see PM Modi in Delhi after pandemic
