Doctor on Front line Duty Since March Dies of COVID-19

A doctor who has been on the front line duty since March this year has died of COVID-19 in New Delhi. The Coronavirus pandemic has gripped countries across the world and it is not slowing down yet. With more than six months since the outbreak of the pandemic, nations across the world are struggling to return to normal with any medical answers.

Dr Javed Ali had been on the front line in the fight against the highly contagious Coronavirus since March this year. He tested positive for coronavirus on June 24 and was hospitalised for treatment over the next three weeks. However, after ten days of struggle under ventilator, the doctor has succumbed to the infection on Monday in New Delhi, according to the NDTV report.

The 42 year old doctor is survived by his wife, also a doctor and their 12 year old daughter and six year old son. The family has demanded compensation from the government for the irreplaceable loss they have suffered.

Coronavirus originated from China’s Wuhan city around December 2019 which in the span of just two to three months spread across the world. As of today, the virus has infected more than 14 million people with six hundred thousand fatalities across the world. With no cure yet, the virus does not look at slowing down.

In addition to the huge loss of lives, the pandemic has crippled the world economy. However, some promising updates from have been informed by the prominent vaccine candidates such as the one being manufactured by Oxford University in London.
