His Holiness Dalai Lama’s Schedule For February 2019

The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled to carry out two series of teachings and attend a long life prayers offering ceremony in the month of February this year. These teachings and the ceremony are scheduled to take place at the Main Temple in Dharamshala, HP, India.

Although there are no programs scheduled during the Tibetan New Year (Losar) on February 5, 2019 as per the published time table of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s engagements, His Holiness is scheduled to remain in Dharamshala during the Tibetan new year.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is scheduled to give a short teaching from the Jataka Tales in the morning of February 19 at the Main Tibetan Temple. From February 20 to 24, His Holiness will give five days of teachings on Bhavaviveka’s Essence of the Middle Way(Madhyamakahrdayakarika) (uma nyingpo) in the mornings.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is also set to attend a Long Life offering prayer given to him by four separate groups from Tibetans schools and Department of Education, CTA, Dharamshala in the morning at the Main Tibetan Temple.

Earlier, the local business community leaders in Dharamshala had approached the officer of Chief Minister of the state complaining their loss in businesses in terms of hotels and restaurants due to lack of religious programs by His Holiness the Dalai Lama during the winter session.

His Holiness’s teaching is not a business and he has done more than enough for Dharamsala. Dharamsala is also not a holy place like Hardwar and Bodhgaya. Therefore no reason to complain.
