India and Tibet are a Family Says RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

The Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), Shri Mohan Bhagwat during his recent meeting with the political leader of Tibetan people, President Dr. Lobsang Sangay told that India and Tibet are a family. The RSS Chief also assured in the meeting that he will continue to support and lend his voice to raise the issue of Tibet

Dr Lobsang Sangay met with Shri Mohan Bhagwat, chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) for the first time during his visit to the Norgyeling Settlement in Bandara, Maharashtra. The meeting which took place at Shri Mohan Bhagwat’s residence in Nagpur on Monday evening and the leaders discussed on key issues relating to environmental and political situation in Tibet, Indo-Tibet ties and the geological impact of the ongoing situation in Tibet on India and rest of the world particularly the South Asian countries considering the strategic significance of Tibet, according to the report in official website of Central Tibetan Administration.

Shri Mohan Bhagwat is a strong admirer of Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s commitment and wisdom. During the twos’ meeting, the report explains that the RSS chief told that India and Tibet are a family and he will continue to support and lend his voice to raise the issue of Tibet.

Dr Sangay is on a six day tour to Delhi, Bhandara and Bengaluru. While he arrived in Nagpur on 6 August  to visit the Norgyeling Tibetan settlement in Bandara, on the 8 August, Dr Sangay will fly to Bengaluru, Karnataka to attend “Thank You Karnataka Event” to express gratitude to the Government of Karnataka. Dr Sangay will also speak at some of the universities in Bengaluru according to CTA.
