Tibetan muslims have an equal responsibility in the Tibet struggle said His Holiness the Dalai Lama while speaking to the Tibetan people gathered in Kolkata today. While the Dalai Lama arrived in the city yesterday for a two day program in the eastern part of India, His Holiness made specific advice to the Tibetans there.
Around a minimum of 100 Tibetans comprising of Tibetan muslims and students gathered at the Oberoi Hotel where His Holiness was staying for the visit. The Tibetans consisted of those from Kolkata, Kalimpong and Darjeeling etc. and His Holiness the Dalai Lama advised that it very important for the Tibetans to thorough study Tibetan language.
During the audience to the Tibetan public, His Holiness the Dalai Lama also stressed that the Tibetan muslims also have the same responsibility in the Tibet struggle! While talking about the historical presence of the Tibetan muslims who ever treated equally since the 5th Dalai Lama in Tibet, he commended of the fact that the Tibetan muslims in Sri Nagar have speaking proper Tibetan language. He told that these Tibetans should also study Tibetan language as being same Tibetan citizens, they have the same responsibility in the cause of Tibet issue.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama spoke on “Revival of Ancient Indian Knowledge” to members of the Indian Chamber of Commerce today.
