Chinese Suspected As Spy Arrested In Manipur, India

A Chinese national suspected to be a spy has been arrested in Manipur’s Tengnoupal distric along the Myanmar border by Assam Rifle Jawans a few days ago. The report on Tuesday identified the Chinese to be in his fifties and he was found in possession of nationalities of few Asian countries and their documents.

“A Chinese national, suspected to be a spy, has been nabbed by Assam Rifles jawans from a place near Moreh along the Myanmar border in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district, a source said on Tuesday.” said the report in the Times of India.

The suspect was identified as Qin Min Xiv Xiang said to be 55 years old belongs to Fuzian province of China. He was arrested with various Chinese, Vietnamese and Myanmarese documents, foreign currencies, a pen drive and a compass in his possession according to the report.

“Sources said there were inputs on the movement of a suspected Chinese intelligence operative agent attempting to infiltrate into India from Myanmar through a track near T Minao village. Immediately, a team from the Assam Rifles base area was mobilized leading to nabbing of the Chinese national, they added.” added the report.
